Our 6.2 million dollar “District-Wide Improvement Project” is currently in progress, with an estimated completion date of Fall 2011. The three separate contracts include an additional new 1.5 million gallon clearwell at the water plant that will deliver water through a new trunk line to the distribution system, 6.2 miles of new waterline designed to balance the delivery of water throughout the District, a new 1.1 million gallon water tower that will greatly enhance storage capacity, and the complete refurbishing of one of the other water towers. The end result will allow the water plant to operate at capacity when necessary, delivering up to 8 million gallons of potable water per day throughout the District. That capacity will meet the demand from anticipated growth within the District for years to come. Additionally, water pressure should remain constant throughout the distribution system.
